The Cleadon Park Regeneration Project
is the largest regeneration project ever to take place in South Tyneside.
The £90 million project is being delivered by a partnership of South Tyneside Council, NomadE5 and Bellway Homes and is expected to be completed in 2010/11.
A mix of 750 properties, both for sale and rent, along with community facilities including a Primary Care Centre and library will transform one of the most rundown areas in South Tyneside into a flagship modern estate.
Cleadon Park has been designed to bring the streets to life. Designated a Home Zone, it is a place where children can play safely and where streets belong to the people rather than to cars.
The project is far from simply a housing scheme. It is about truly regenerating a community from the ground up.
